My Story

I studied Stage Management and Theatre Production in Edinburgh, graduating in 2005. Whilst there I was exposed to all the disciplines required to stage a successful show. After college I found work with lots of different companies and worked within most of the departments I was trained in. It was a very varied period in my life, hopping between different towns and cities, working on shows in theatres and site specific venues. After a few years I took a job as a Production Manager in one of Edinburgh’s independent schools.

This job was as varied as any of my previous roles and I had to undertake all aspects of production work. During this time my wife and I bought a derelict house and began renovating it. This new challenge ran alongside the day job and required all my management ability to keep both parts of my life running smoothly. Working on the house allowed me to broaden my skills and knowledge, especially given the amount of work required on such a large project. Having the theatrical background allows me to bring a different flavour to my work, adding a different quality to what could be considered normal.

The house required so much work that everything you see on the inside is new. Having made the kitchen myself and a lot of the other fittings, it started to act as a large showroom of my abilities and this has led to other commissions from those who have seen it all. Once this started to happen I realised that it was time to spread my wings and offer my services to clients, so here I am, at the start of a new journey…
